Cheshire Lines move back to the top with victory over Old Xavs- but for 24 hours only.
Cheshire Lines (Phil Carswell 44; Paul Sheron 4/29) won the game of the day beating Old Xaverians (Ross Brady 79; Kevin Heywood 5/35) by 46 runs to return to the top of the league.
However their stay at the top was shortlived as Old Xaverians moved back above Cheshire Lines (by 0.14 points) as the Xavs gained the maximum 25 point victory over Goodlass in their re-arranged league game on Sunday.
With Port Sunlight having a free week, Aigburth (Sam Brennan 40; Paul O'Leary 5/20) extended their lead in 3rd place beating Singlehurst (Wayne Vernon 37; Alex Brown 3/44) by 4 wickets.
Tranmere Victoria (Gary Francis 61; Ben England 3/55; Sean Tuohey 3/12) remain in 5th after drawing against an ever improving Goodlass side (Tom Garbutt 37 & 3/31; Andy Li 31; Phil Morgan 3-28), while Liverpool Manweb (John Roberts 96; Andrew Jones 89; Martin Wilcox 5/45) had the better of a draw against 6th placed Commonwealth (Suresh Raj 50).
Mossley Hill’s (Phil Saunders 59 not out; Mark Kelly 3/25) victory against Bromborough (Keith Hawkins 39) and St Marys College OB (Steve Leyland 33; Jim Kelly 7/36) win at Shaftesbury (David Holden 3/24; Nick Belger 3/22) both moved them up a place in the league.Mossley Hill II extend their lead.

Prescot & Odyssey III (Colin West 51; Jonny Yates 3/63) could only draw aaginst lowly Tranmere Victoria (Jim Bennett 72).
Sutton II (Adam Onion 29; Natalie Brown 3/3) kept up the pressue at the top as they were convincing victors against Wavertree IV (Greg Flewitt 21; Danny Pinder 1/9) whilst
Birkenhead St Marys III (Sam Black 67; Steve Croman 3/27) slipped to a comprehensive defeat to Cheshire Lines II (Graham Humphries 112*; Luke Helsby 3/25).
Mid table sides
Aigburth III (Muhammed Khan 100*; Bill Wynne 3/21) and Alder III (Brian Cleary 41; Paul Fearnyough 3/39) played out a draw.

Southport Trinity (Geoff Thornton 43; Tony Hall 4/29) lost a rain shortened game against Alder (Niall McHale 46*; Andrew Aitchison 4/34),
Moorfield (Ian Dutton 77; Rob Yearsley 3/60) lost a very tight game to lower league opposition, Port Sunlight (Harry Burkey 71; Brendon Woods 2/23) and
Parkfield Liscard (Grant Hughes 107 & 3/15) dominated the battle of the Wirral against Birkenhead St Marys (Lee Roberts 48).
Wavertree had a walkover aginst Huyton.
In the delayed
Lever Cup tie, Aigburth (Peter O'Leary 41; Adnan Ashraf 2/24) battled hard but lost out to Parkfield Liscard (Ammer Baig 44*, Matt Keogh 2/20).

Norman Cottham Memorial Trophy, Rainhill II (John Ford 60 & 5/16; Ray Ford 3/18) over came fellow league title challengers Old Xaverians II (Ian Carroll 61),
Moorfield II (Dave Brick 43*; Joe Bamber 4/24) edged past Caldy II (Phil Luxon 4/26), while
Rainford II (Justin Dalrymple 78 & 2/26; Matt Campbell 53) won a high scoring game against Whitefield II (Michael Quigley 47; Kevin Connolly 29* & 2/52).
